On December 17th 2024, the EloView team will release a major update to EloView 4 that includes the following new features and capabilities:

New – Usability Improvements:

You can now...

  • Leverage the “Credit Card Payment” permission to enable or disable users to view the “Payment” tab and update payment details.
  • Leverage the “Remote Control” permission to enable or disable users to launch a TeamViewer session.
  • Display a subset of devices using partial string searches on the Device Name field.

New – API Support:

Using the cloud APIs, you can now...

  • Delete a device from EloView.
  • Update the name and/or address of a device.
  • Get the online/offline status of a device.
  • View the IP address, MAC address, I/O status, and firmware version of an EloView device.
  • Configure the “Show on App Page” setting via the “Content Upload” API.

Use of cloud APIs is possible on registered devices and requires authentication with Eloview credentials. Documentation can be found in the developer zone, on secure.eloview.com.

Method of Distribution
The update will be applied on Tuesday, December 17th, 2024, from 4 to 7 PM Pacific Time / Wednesday, December 18th, 2024, from 1 to 4 AM Central European Time. During this period, EloView services will be unavailable. There will be no impact on scheduled content or devices deployed in the field while we perform this update.
